Anthony Hautin

Helping scale businesses from the front.

Operational leader with acquisition and exit experience. I built Everything Tech and sold it in 2022. Through Scalespring we come in as a partner; maximising growth to a potential exit by putting the right people, systems and goals in place to scale. We also offer consulting, training and speaking when a business needs a boost from experienced leaders.

Everything Tech

Manchester MSP. Microsoft Gold Partner. Before that I was IT Manager at Argyll Holidays. At Everything Tech I came up through the technical ranks — technician, helpdesk, infrastructure — then jointly owned and built the company with Ruth Hall and Lee Wrall.

I grew and led the technical operation, inside the business and across the hundreds of companies we supported. Turnover passed £5m before the sale. Headcount sat at 40, with offices in Manchester, London, Glasgow and Cannock. Sold to Managed IT Services Group in July 2022.

Copilot Adoption

Main speaker at Everything Tech Group’s Copilot Adoption Forum, Cloud 23, Manchester. Live demo of Microsoft Copilot in the day-to-day work — not the slideware. I also run follow-on online sessions and consultancy for businesses that want adoption, not another unused licence.

After the exit I kept working with Ruth — this time as a consultant. Match the technology to the money, then put the system and the people on it so the number keeps moving. Holiday parks, owner-led businesses, financial performance.

B2B platform for raffle and prize-draw operators. I ran the operating side — numbers, delivery, and the people and systems that keep a scaling company honest — then stepped off.

Charity

Show up. Load the van. Hand the kit over.

The charity is Raffle Aid — a Manchester non-profit for people on the street. We are not experts in homelessness. We are willing to stand in the rain.

Anthony Hautin and Anton Hilton carrying sleeping bags and mats for a Raffle Aid outreach
Day one. Sleeping bags, mats, tents. Manchester.

We started it out of Reffle. Weekly £2 raffles, plus a cut of new Reffle client work, pay for street packages — tent, sleeping bag, mat, backpack — and the nights on the ground in Manchester and Bolton.

Anton Hilton founded it. I helped get it moving and still get in the van. Tents and sleeping bags are what people ask for. So that is what we carry.

I wrote about it briefly on LinkedIn. The pictures live on Instagram. The work is on raffleaid.com.

The path

From doing the work myself to leading the people who do.

  1. Early career

    The floor, then Argyll Holidays

Technician, helpdesk, infrastructure — then IT Manager at Argyll Holidays. The jobs where you learn what actually breaks, and who has to fix it at 2am.

  2. 2018 – 2022

    Everything Tech

Owner and CTO. Appointed director March 2018. Person with significant control from October 2018. Through pandemic growth, the Unite acquisition, and the sale to MITSG in July 2022.

  3. After the exit

    Reffle, RBC, Copilot

COO at Reffle. Consultant with Ruth Badger Consultancy. Main speaker on Microsoft Copilot adoption. On the ground with the charity.

  4. Now

    Scalespring

Partner in. People, systems and goals in place to scale. Consulting, training and speaking when a business needs a boost.

About

Quiet achiever. Loud results.

I’m a super positive person with a technical leadership background — Scottish Scotland , based in Manchester, more comfortable in the work than on a stage. I come across as laid back. The work rate is not. Challenges rarely phase me. Social media still makes me cringe. Getting in the ring is easier.

I had my head down for a decade. By 30, work was optional. That wasn’t a personal brand. It was tickets, infrastructure, hundreds of client companies, a company of our own, and an exit.

Through Scalespring we come in as a partner to scale. Home is Beth and our daughter Sadie. Boxing, and the nights on the street with the charity.

“High work ethic, operational, commercial and an IT genius.” Ruth Badger Consultancy
